Rooted In Style ATL was born not just from creativity, but from a consecrated moment of transformation.

A week before a pivotal therapy session, I found myself magnetically drawn to a tree agate bracelet. At the time, I thought it was just a beautiful stone—I had no idea I was wearing a tool to assist my alignment.

That session, guided by a Hebrew multi-modality therapist, introduced me to vibrational healing—crystal therapy, sound, essential oils, and Reiki. I left with more than information; I left with a new awareness. A deep desire to align with the Divine Will was planted in my heart.

My creative sessions became devotional. I began journaling. Practicing mirror work. Forgiving myself. Sitting in meditation and asking the Most High to guide my hands and attention. I studied the energetic properties of crystals and intentionally paired stones that reflected the areas I was ready to grow in—not to worship the minerals, but to use them as reminders to choose the higher road in moments of emotion, stress, or temptation.

Three months into this unfolding, I joined friends for a tubing trip—and with all my handmade bracelets stacked on one wrist, two monarch butterflies landed gently on them. Both. At the same time. They remained with me, fully present, as if listening, affirming, and blessing the path I had chosen.

I felt overcome with a sense of love and recognition. The butterflies became my confirmation—divine messengers guiding me to share what had been given to me. As I asked, silently, if I could share the experience with others, they responded with grace. “Bring your hand just close enough,” I heard, “and we’ll cross over on our own.” They did exactly that—crossing over to each of my friends, one by one, creating a moment none of us will forget.

That was the moment Rooted In Style ATL truly took flight.

“My gift from God is a divine mind, and I am a gift to my people.” What began with a single bracelet soon awakened an ancient memory within me—a calling to vibrational healing, spiritual adornment, and sacred creation. Guided by the wisdom of an African Hebrew Israelite healer, I embarked on a journey of energetic alignment through crystals, prayer, and deep inner work. In a period I call the Cocoon of Consecration, I embraced solitude, practiced spiritual rituals, and began transmuting pain into beauty. Beading reconnected me to my inner child, allowing me to heal, play, and create pieces filled with purpose. From my first sale to butterflies landing on my bracelets as a sign of confirmation, I knew this was more than jewelry—it was medicine for the soul.

Born and raised in Atlanta, I carry a global heritage rooted in places like Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Congo, and the Gullah Geechee lineage. With influence from my grandmother’s African boutique in Savannah to my travels across Israel, South Africa, Belize, and beyond, my creativity reflects ancestral wisdom and sacred expression. Rooted in Style ATL is a philosophy—anchored by the Adinkra symbol Abedua, representing resilience and self-sufficiency. The three dots in “Rooted” signify spiritual alignment across time and space. Through jewelry, story, and sacred connection, I offer more than adornments—I offer a remembrance of who we truly are: sovereign souls, planted with purpose, designed to grow and flourish.
